If you think Lintian is warning about something that it shouldn't warn about, please report a bug. In some cases, it may be that we think that you are not maintaining your package the way that we think you should based on our understanding of the general Debian consensus, but a lot of the time we just didn't realize. So you should at least make us *say* that if that's really the case. You might be surprised by us agreeing with you. :) Also, please be aware of the tuning options on Lintian's output that were added in 2.0. You now have quite a bit more control over what you see from Lintian and can do things like exclude tags that Lintian knows are guesses about problems rather than problems it's fairly certain are there. Tags are also now classified internally using bug severities, so you can tell Lintian things like "only show me tags that are important severity or higher." -- Russ Allbery ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
