FWIW I've upgraded a machine to replace pdnsd with unbound, it hit that bug of course. I've: 1) edited /etc/unbound/unbound.conf. 2) stopped pdnsd, 3) ran apt-get -f install , which "repaired" the dpkg database. 4) dpkg --purge pdnsd and done. I don't think this is too hard to ask from someone that is installing multiple DNS softwares on the same machine.
