Well, it may be old and systems should have been adapted to it. And in fact, it works quite well in all my Linux boxes and editors running there. It doesn't work as well on other operating systems, even though people pay for those. But at work we do exchange files with users of those operating systems. So with stick with something that works for everyone. It's pointless to discuss this problem on this list, because the problem is elsewhere.
