Thats how I understand this approach. Since lincvs only contains the /usr/share/doc/lincvs -> crossvc link, and crossvc also contains the same link, the link will be taken over by crossvc after it has been installed, so that nothing remains left from the old (dummy) package. A nice and clean approach IMHO, but its unfortunately blocked by the bug discussed earlier in this thread...
