It's really much simpler than that. The package maintainer changed something that you didn't like, in an unreleased package in the unstable distribution (this version of the software is not included in any released version of Debian). This is regrettable, but it happens. Instead of ranting in a public forum, just send a note to the package maintainer, tell him what you want, and resolve it between yourselves. This is likely to be much more effective than a flamewar. -- - mdz
