* What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.11 APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash hello , i have installed wheezy dozens of times on several computers. with the new installer i have found being unable to install it via dvd and via usb onto a very popular lenovo t61 . the boot would just just show a flashing _ on black screen using unetbootin for making usb and k3b for making dvd. first i thought maybe usb drive is corrupt, but then finally i got hold of an older wheezy version (via jigdo i downloaded 7.9 wheezy amd64) and voilá , the installation went withouth problem. i think there is a bug in installer please check on this thanks rich
