Yes, they are the same. And 1 is clearly a bug, debian-cd can't correct that. It's the boot floppies documentation that have to be updated. IIRC that bug has already been filed : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=148509&repeatmerged=yes > 4.
