Hm, looks like I might have done something a little naughty to X. Here's the list of winners & losers on i386 CD1_NONUS: http://www.hands.com/~phil/woody-cd/pre6-pre7-package.diff.txt and the matching jigdo file is here: http://cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/3.0-pre7/jigdo/i386/woody-i386-1_NONUS.jigdo The good news is that TeX is in, the bad news is that packages such as xdm, xfs & xterm are out. This seems bad, but I suppose since gdm & kdm are on there, and one can survive without xfs, and gnome-terminal is in, we could actually live without those, but will the resulting lack of x-window-system cause a problem with the tasks? The X move is presumably the result of including xspecs in the list of stuff to keep off CD1 --- I'll try putting that back in and see what happens. The current (pre7) result was achieved thus: .../debian-cd$ cat tasks/exclude-woody kernel-image-2.4.16-386 kernel-image-2.4.16-586 kernel-image-2.4.16-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.16-686 kernel-image-2.4.16-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.16-k6 kernel-image-2.4.16-k7 kernel-image-2.2.20 kernel-image-2.2.20-compact kernel-image-2.2.20-idepci kernel-image-2.2.20-reiserfs kernel-image-2.2.20-udma100-ext3 kernel-image-2.4.18-386 kernel-image-2.4.18-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.18-686 kernel-image-2.4.18-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel-image-2.4.18-k6 kernel-image-2.4.18-k7 kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-k6 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-k7 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-386 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-686 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-686-smp kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-586tsc erlang emacs20-dl aspell-pt aspell-fr aspell-es aspell-de aspell-da libopenh323-dbg timidity-patches xspecs .../debian-cd$ cat tasks/unexclude-CD2-woody kernel-image-2.2.20 kernel-image-2.2.20-compact kernel-image-2.2.20-idepci kernel-image-2.2.20-reiserfs kernel-image-2.2.20-udma100-ext3 kernel-image-2.4.18-386 kernel-image-2.4.18-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.18-686 kernel-image-2.4.18-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel-image-2.4.18-k6 kernel-image-2.4.18-k7 kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-k6 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-k7 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-386 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-686 kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-686-smp kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.18-586tsc erlang emacs20-dl aspell-pt aspell-fr aspell-es aspell-de aspell-da libopenh323-dbg timidity-patches xspecs .../debian-cd$ cat tasks/unexclude-CD6-woody kernel-image-2.4.16-386 kernel-image-2.4.16-586 kernel-image-2.4.16-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.16-686 kernel-image-2.4.16-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.16-k6 kernel-image-2.4.16-k7 Have a play, and tell me what else I've broken :-) Cheers, Phil. -- Say no to software patents! http://petition.eurolinux.org/ |)| Philip Hands [+44 (0)20 8530 9560] http://www.hands.com/ |-| HANDS.COM Ltd. http://www.uk.debian.org/ |(| 10 Onslow Gardens, South Woodford, London E18 1NE ENGLAND
