--- Begin Message ---Package: ipmitool Version: 1.8.19-8 Severity: serious This package should not depend on anacron. Even if you really believe that it is justified to automatically keep the file up to date for a niche feature of ipmitool (I don't), then it is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE to have the package depend on anacron. If you have decided that it is really important that the file is kept up to date, then you are supposed to install a normal cron job and/or systemd timer unit and then depend (o even better, only suggest) on something like e.g. "cron | anacron | cron-daemon" and/or systemd-sysv. It is also a policy violation to have a package modify something in /usr after the installation, because /usr is allowed to be read only. BTW, I suggest that you have a look at the history of the pci.ids and usb.ids packages: the automatic update mechanisms for these files have been scrapped long ago. -- ciao, Marco
