Just to be clear about an automatic download mechanism: it would be

a) unwelcome in main, where we patch out other "privacy breach" 
things,

b) if ipmitool -requires- the file, it is forbidden by the 
definition of "main",

c) it will hurt the upstream servers and will probably earn you (or 
the entire project) many stern words from the server operators.


Short summary: just don't do it.
