Dear Maintainer,

    * What led up to the situation?
On boot, no shares were mounted
Upgraded yesterday, next boot this morning

    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
      ineffective)?
Reboot, no change
Revert to version 2:7.1-1, problem gone
no other packages downgraded

Logs show for each failed mount:

cifs: Bad value for 'password2'

mount: mount error(22): Invalid argument

I can't reproduce this. Neither with password2=xxx, nor without.
Neither with password2 specified on the command line nor in the
credentials file, nor specified as an environment variable
(PASSWD2). Everything just works here.

The only case when it fails the way you describe is when you
explicitly specify an empty password2 (password2=).
How exactly do you specify password2?

This looks more like an invalid usage than a bug.

Thanks,

/mjt
