The user that runs into this could experience data loss. Also, I don't think the user is likely to learn the solution is to switch to emacs-pgtk. Given the data loss I think the issue is RC. But having said that, do you think the bug is inside emacs-gtk, or do you think emacs-gtk only triggers a bug in the composer. Maybe it's time to either reassign to kwin or at least consult the kwin maintainers?
