There have been several complications on my end in the past week, so my short term planning turned into a mess. I don't think I can properly package a new upstream release of Breathe, test it, get it sponsored (first time for me), uploaded and migrated before 2021-02-12's soft freeze. The commit you sent before is the only patch needed to resolve the issue. Are you in a position, or do you know someone, that could do a direct NMU? Apologies for this.
