I'm curious why you filed this as a bug against e2fsprogs instead of
util-linux. Do you know *why* the util-linux source package dropped
libblkid.a in libblkid-dev? Did they have a good reason?
I could solve this by dropping e2fsck-static, but that can be quite
useful to some Debian users in rescue situations.
