I wonder what version of the kernel you have installed right now. I guess it is related to that, and will give the answer to our problem, which is not an mkvmlinuz problem, but see below. > > > reinstall from aptitude with the added set -x yields exactly as you say: > > > [...] > > > + bootloader=yaboot > > > + '[' yaboot = mkvmlinuz ']' > > > > So, where is the failure ? Here is the complete log of running 'aptitude install > linux-image-2.6.16-2-powerpc' with the extra set -x you mentioned before. > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# aptitude install linux-image-2.6.16-2-powerpc > Reading package lists... I am thus reassigning this package to both of linux-2.6 and kernel-package for further processing. Since the pre-inst fails, the package doesn't get installed, and you have your older package around, which is why dpkg-reconfigure doesn't find it. Manoj, bastian, i think this is in your camp, can you have a look at this problem ? Friendly, Sven Luther -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
