source: binutils
version: 2.27-1
severity: serious
justification: breaks link and build of depending packages.
Hi, as said the latest blender upload is not working anymore, and since the
failure seems to be in ld.gold, I presume
the changes between 2.26.1 and 2.27 broke the link.
successful build 2016-08-07 11:01:58
Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-0.bpo.1-octeon mips (mips64)
Toolchain package versions: binutils_2.26.1-1 dpkg-dev_1.18.10 g++-6_6.1.1-10
gcc-6_6.1.1-10 libc6-dev_2.23-4 libstdc++-5-dev_5.4.1-1
libstdc++-6-dev_6.1.1-10 libstdc++6_6.1.1-10 linux-libc-dev_4.6.4-1
failed build 2016-08-11 15:29:29
Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-octeon mips (mips64)
Toolchain package versions: binutils_2.27-4 dpkg-dev_1.18.10 g++-6_6.1.1-11
gcc-6_6.1.1-11 libc6-dev_2.23-4 libstdc++-5-dev_5.4.1-1
libstdc++-6-dev_6.1.1-11 libstdc++6_6.1.1-11 linux-libc-dev_4.6.4-1
I can only think about a binutils regression.
