Apparently restoration of all opened windows on new application start (after "show desktop") is what it is in KDE for whatever reason. So we can't help you here. I respectfully disagree with your argument. Even though it may be a real problem for you, Lenny is no longer supported and there is nothing we can do about is. What is described as a problem if far beyond security fix so I can only encourage you to upgrade to current version of Debian. Same thing for gnucash - I doubt upstream would spend a minute trying to address an issue in version that is so old. At least if you're using current version it may be worth looking into the problem - otherwise it's developer's time wasted. So unless my co-maintainers disagree, I insist that this bug should be closed. It has nothing to do with gnucash anyway.
