In the chroot where I tried to reproduce the problem,
"aptitude markauto timidity" already removed it.

You do not have set Apt::AutoRemove::SuggestsImportant or
Aptitude::Keep-Suggests to true, do you?

Could you please run "aptitude-create-state-bundle" and upload the
result somewhere?  It is too big to be sent by email.
