Adding the following line to "libtotem-dev.install" may solve this bug:
usr/local/share/gir-1.0/Totem-1.0.gir /usr/share/gir-1.0/Totem-1.0.gir
I could not test because the package FTBS here[1] (not sure if this is a
bug or because I tweaked my system a bit too much)
Also, please note that this bug prevents me to update the
totem-plugin-arte package (which is currently useless on Gnome 3).
