Package: udev
Version: 167-3
Followup-For: Bug #622400
The issue still exists in version 167-3. Switching to invoke-rc.d doesn't help:
23/04 17:48 /tmp/udev-167 % sudo invoke-rc.d udev restart
Stopping the hotplug events dispatcher: udevd.
Starting the hotplug events dispatcher: udevderror binding udev control
socket
failed!
invoke-rc.d: initscript udev, action "restart" failed.
The service was propertly stopped via systemd (confirmed via ps faux).
