If I understand it correctly it's much more complicated and needs more time to get a new package into debian than to keep an existing package alive. When the removal of a package cannot be cancelled nxtvepg will not be part of debian 6. As one of my EPG providers here already ceases the EPG service at the end of this year re-introducing the package for debian 7 is too late for it. In 2 or 3 years all EPG providers are dead I guess.
