Probably hyperlinks are introduced as small PostScript snippets that do
not generate any image output at all. There may be a solution for that

Problem is, there is no clear pattern that enables me to identify these
snippets. Some end with "pdfmark" but most do not. Some even contain
some fairly generic PS code, it would be hard to identify these. Of
course, I could simply silently ignore these PS snippets, but then
again, other snippets would be expected to actually produce output. Not
an easy option.
The only real option is to start collecting a list of
non-output-producing OK-to-ignore PostScript snippets. Does this sound
good to you?
