Hi,
I believe extlinux and syslinux-common should always be the same version
installed on a system. To circumvent partial upgrades or testing/unstable
mixtures, extlinux shoud add a Breaks: syslinux-common (<< ${source:Version})
and vice versa. Maybe even the syslinux package should be added to this chain.
BTW, I believe the Conflicts: syslinux (<< 2:4.00~pre53+dfsg) in extlinux and
syslinux-common could be converted into a Breaks + Replaces, because the old
package does not need to get deconfigured to be overwritten.
