If I see correctly, most parts of libmlt2 are usable without GTK+
or Qt, only libmltgtk.so and libmltqimage depend on them. AFAIK,
there are some Debian packages, where not all components are usable
without the recommends installed, am I wrong?

Anyway, I can't see that adding one or two more binary package(s)
is more "bloat" than having such a huge dependency list.
