Hi RW,
The chroot has been setup using debootstrap on an USB stick. I also
installed a kernel, but I would guess in the chroot the path
/lib/modules/`uname -r` is not valid:
# uname -v
#1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Oct 15 18:39:36 CEST 2009
# uname -r
2.6.31.4
# ls -al /lib/modules/
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 80 Oct 18 22:15 .
drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 4152 Oct 18 22:56 ..
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 280 Oct 18 22:16 2.6.30-2-amd64
