Thanks for your bug-report.
It's not clear that this is a bug in cryptmount, and it
likely that the problems you're having are very dependent on the
details of your 'chroot' filesystem.
It would appear that the absence of the '/lib/modules/...' files
within your chroot filesystem is confusing the cryptmount postinst script,
probably when it calls 'modprobe'. Clearly, it is not cryptmount's
responsibility to setup /lib/modules/...' directly.
Before I investigate further, could you give details about
how you have setup your chroot filesystem?
