Hi,
Running
gnome-screensaver-command --inhibit
still manages to inhibit the screensaver, which is handy given that xine and vlc
no longer can (due to #541968). Unfortunately killing g-s-c, which is supposed
to allow the screensaver to reactivate, doesn’t fully “disinhibit” the
screensaver: the traces show the inhibit is dropped, as does
gnome-screensaver-command --query
but the screensaver never kicks in again. To restore the usual behaviour it is
necessary to kill gnome-screensaver and restart it.
I am using gnome-session 2.26.2-1.
