I run it and I regularly use [[!directive]].

It is true that I've for a while had some inconsistent pages, because
some scripts of mine which generate markup automatically were not
converted to the new syntax. But it should be fixed now. If you have
encountered some old style directives they are bug.

Actually, I was fixing the remaining just this afternoon, and I've
fixed them locally, but not yet pushed. The local massive rebuild was
a consequence of that change, but I don't dare pushing right now, in
the fear it will take forever on the remote machine.
