After disabling prefix directives in my configuration so your templates get included, I was able to get ikiwiki to pause for about 1 second on scanning the archive page in question (consistent with it processing the templated inline on it, which ikiwiki began doing in scan mode in version 3.05). But not forever. Hmm.
I'd really like to reproduce this here. It's possible a strace of the hang will show something useful, but just as likely, it will not. -- see shy jo
