Thanks for reporting this, I was just about to do so myself. I've applied your patch, but I've got a few packages that now have their Package names contain the full .deb filename, any idea how to trim these? I tried to do --rebuild-files, but it seems they are lodged in the database files somehow and I dont know how to extract them.
