I would like to state it clearly that library from Tuebingen is completely
different from the one by Gilles Debunne. There are no predecessor/successor
relation. Only common parts of those libraries is a name and some results
which could be achieved by them.
However there are no build dependencies on libqglviewer-dev in official
dependency, popcon[1] says that 7 people installed the package. That's why
I think that replacing current Debian qglviewer with the one from Gilles
would not be a wise move.
And last but not least: if anyone would like to maintain the Gilles library
as a part of Debian official release I would be happy to co-maintain it.
