I believe that the only thing you can do, as a client, is to complain to 
the person who does maintain the server. 

What I would like to have is a script which did change all the dates 
in the repository and was part of the upgrade, otherwise I think the 
'upgrade' is broken.

I like the idea of the comparison comparing dates as dates. 

I do not understand why my problem, 
that the second date in a revision log  was also being found as a diff , is 
occurring.
