Huh? Nautilus includes a perfectly fine mime preference editor. If you
want to configure them for the whole system, there is
also /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/defaults.list.
Furthermore, OOo is already set as the default for .odt files:
application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text=ooo-writer.desktop
There are some reasons to drop Depends to Recommends, but wrong MIME
defaults are a very bad reason.
