The menu entry appears both in Accesories and Education Gnome menu categories. Moreover the icon is not installed in the default directory. This bug was initially reported in Ubuntu (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+source/vym/+bug/128426 ), but the new version of the package seems not to cover that fix (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vym/+bug/159313) .
