I found a couple of leaks; one in fontconfig and one that I've worked around in libc. Could I get you to give the CVS version a try and see if it still has trouble on your machine? I can ship you a .deb if you'd rather have that to test with. On my machine, with only about 800 fonts, I don't see any leaks with valgrind now, but I can't test everything as it may well depend on the precise set of fonts you have. -keith
