Hi,
from the afterstep wiki:
"Won't List

Unicode aterm: OK, this isn't AfterStep specifically, but you're crazy if you
run AS without aterm. We have received many requests for adding Unicode support
to aterm. Aterm is light, fast, and fun. Adding Unicode support will take away
most, if not all of these properties. In addition, adding Unicode support would
involve a complete re-write of the aterm code. There are excellent Unicode
terminals available: rxvt-unicode, mlterm, uterm are some examples."

Kind regards
Nico
