I don't know any better, and am seeing something similar to Ladislav.
Luigi, perhaps you could explain how the database setup is supposed to
work since the /usr/share/dbconfig-common/data files aren't present in
the package (as pointed out by Luigi)?
I too ran 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure drupal5' and the database tables were
still not created.
