Ok, more analysis of this bug:
This is a summary of all `failed' messages and warnings:
`pdftex -ini -jobname=etex -progname=etex -translate-file=cp227.tcx *etex.ini'
failed
`pdftex -ini -jobname=pdfetex -progname=pdfetex -translate-file=cp227.tcx
*pdfetex.ini' failed
`etex -ini -jobname=jadetex -progname=jadetex jadetex.ini' failed
`etex -ini -jobname=pdfjadetex -progname=pdfjadetex pdfjadetex.ini' failed
So we have:
- jadetex bug
- etex bug
The former is bug #419026 (texlive-lang-cyrillic, should be closed) and
bug #419020 (jadetex), already closed.
The later is the stupid existence of 01tetex.cnf in /etc/texmf/fmt.d/
Didn't we solve this one already in one of the tex-common releases?
Frank, do you remember this?
Best wishes
Norbert

'Cos I don't.'
