ended six months ago, there are no new open MRs, CI is failing, and
the upload to NEW was abandoned.
It would be good to restart this effort now - it is important for
multiple packages.
Maybe this package (which is needed by gnome, texlive, libreoffice etc.. should
be better placed
at the Fonts Task Force?
IMHO it's too low-level and important to have this on one shoulder.
Of course then someone still has to do the work, though. Ahmed can be
Uploaders: there of course.
But I personally don't really have the time do do another (big) (low-level)
package, except maybe occasional contributions in the Fonts Task Force...
(Same reason as why graphite2 - which is a dep of harfbuzz anyway - is in Fonts
Task Force nowadays)
