I think fixing email addresses is fine, as is pretty much anything
else that makes the changelog a more accurate record of what actually
happened. Eg, retrospectively documenting a change that had
erroneously been made but not put in the changelog; adding extra
cross-references, etc.
But I remember the thread :-).
