Package: transmission-gtk
Version: 4.1.0~beta2+dfsg-3
Followup-For: Bug #1108194

  Hi,

I also have been hit by this bug when trying to get the DVD1 of trixie.
tranmission-gtk crashes (without any interaction from my part) with the same
error message in the terminal (when run from the terminal).
Partial download of the DVD (1 to 3 Go) is lost after each crash (the transfert
restart from the begining)
but the torrent is still there (no need to re-add it).

Looking at the bug report, I saw the initial reporter was with a French
local, as myself.
I restarted transmission-gtk with LC_ALL=C, and I've been able to complete the
whole transfert (4Go) without any problem.

Restarting in French local (without LC_ALL=C) with data present does not lead
to any crash.
Restarting in French local (without LC_ALL=C) after removing the DVD leads to
a crash again.
It seams to me that the crash occurs when the countdown switch from 1 minute to
seconds...

In this latter case, the download finished after the crash of the interface and
restarting transmission-gtk shows me a complete transfert.
However, the previous (with LC_ALL=C) download and the latter one have
different contents (different sha256sum, the first being good according to the
Debian website)
After a few minutes (typing this bug report...), transmission-gtk shows me:
"Erreur locale : « Please Verify Local Data! Piece #988 is corrupt. »
I clicked on "Vérifier les données locales" and the transfert restarted.
Then it crashes again. And it seams it was when the reminding time was less
than 1 min again.

A new launch of transmission-gtk restarted the transfert, with same thing
(crash when < 1 min left).

Restarting with LC_ALL=C completed the transfert. And after "1 minute left",
I've been able to see "X secondes left"

  Regards,
    Vincent
