in virt-manager of debian/stable (Debian 12 aka bookworm), there is no entry for Debain 12 when the operating system has to be chosen. It is working with the "Debian 11" setting, however, it may be, that the presettings for Debian 12 has to be in another way. Maybe you could take a look at it and fiy this little issue.
