Package: libassimp-dev
Version: 5.0.1~ds0-2
Followup-For: Bug #973361
X-Debbugs-Cc: joerg.bornem...@qt.io

Dear Maintainer,

I can reproduce this issue with the following CMake project:

---snip---
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.16)
project(whatever)
find_package(assimp 5.0)
add_executable(myexe main.cpp)
target_link_libraries(myexe PRIVATE assimp::assimp)
---snap---

main.cpp can be any file, even an empty one.

One can work around locally by altering
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/assimp-5.0/assimpTargets.cmake and add another
line
   get_filename_component(_IMPORT_PREFIX "${_IMPORT_PREFIX}" PATH)
in the block under the comment
   # Compute the installation prefix relative to this file.
