So... you're running some external program to duplicate the work of the XDPMS extension? E.g., "xset dpms off". XScreenSaver does that already, it's in preferences.

DPMS seems to be enabled in my xorg.conf and my .xscreensaver

(**) RADEON(0): DPMS enabled

dpmsEnabled: True
dpmsStandby: 1:00:00
dpmsSuspend: 1:00:00
dpmsOff: 2:00:00

Am I supposed to wait an hour ? What does standby do ? Only change the screen status ? Or a real machine standby (suspend-to-ram) ?

I tried to play with xset dpms options but it did not change anything. My screen still does not shutdown completely with xscreensaver. Am I missing something ?

Thanks,
Brice
