Hi, I got around writing a small test app to open packages.debian.org/reportbug the same way reportbug doesn. However it worked, I then tried with reportbug and it worked too. Seems like indeed it was an interim problem with pdo.debian.net I don't get any gzipped pages anymore from the debian servers that reportbug accesses. Thus I'm closing this bug-report.
