Package: flashplugin-nonfree Version: 7.0.61-1.2 Hello,
could you probably ship the symlinks which are currently created by
update-flashplugin in /usr/lib/{mozilla*,firefox}/plugins within the
package instead? This would a) prevent the override of files which are
probably under package-manager control and it would b) make it possible
to detect conflicts with other packages (which probably did put these
files under package-manager control) like with Christian Marillats
flashplayer-mozilla.
Currently, update-flashplugin silently overwrites such files if they
exist.
I'm not sure if the policy allows shipping of initially dangling
symlinks. However, since they are per default un-dangled via the
postinst process, this should IMHO be okay.
PS: ln -sf will never fail as root, so the `|| FAIL="true"' is quite
useless.
