There are convenience options to go directly to pdf, but this is not necessary. ... * it is a upupstream bug, that means, we as Debian have nothing to do with it, nor does TeX Live it self have anything to do with it. As long as the fonts are not uplaoded to CTAN, they will not end up in TeX Live. But the package can still be used ... ================================== As long as nobody uploads the fonts to CTAN in a usable way so that they can be included in TeX Live, the package can be used to create .dvi files.
