Thanks for your suggestion. I'm not so sure the Debian FTP masters are so found of one tiny little package with just one binary. We really have a big problem with the number of packages in the archive already. The init scripts are very easy to disable, right? I have marked it as a "wontfix" but I can be convinced to other things if you have really good argumentation.
