Thanks for testing! That's interesting. It means that things can be played with the right speed, but sometimes, they are not... I tried xgalaga, and while I have no idea how the sounds *should* sound, I can say that they sound pretty normal to me. (The game subsequently froze my machine and crashed pretty badly, until I was able to get control of my X session again...) I'll later try one of the other games you mentioned. Do you have any sound recordings of how things *should* sound, and/or how they sound for you? (Maybe from YouTube videos or so... but you can also capture sound output through PulseAudio.)
