As it looks like the Stetch development cycle will soon open up
I'm going to look into shipping util-linux implementations in
several places where we in Debian today ships some other
(dead upstream?) implementation.

The shadow-utils implementations is not included in what I intend
to look at though.

Is there any chance you're willing to investigate if its possible
and why we'd want to use util-linux implementations instead of
shadow-utils? AFAIK using shadow-utils is one of those things
that are Debian-unique and there are probably people out there
who knows the reason why we're not using the same shadow solution
as other distributions. Your help here would be very welcome!
I'm sure you understand that this is one of those things where
careful examination is needed and I know you're already good
at keeping every detail in order from your previous work.

Regards,
Andreas Henriksson
